Transgender Football In Mexico’s Most Dangerous Neighbourhood | A Battle For Acceptance

This film was devised and produced by Apuntes de Rabona. ADR are a member of COPA90’s Collective Network, a hand-picked group of publishers, artists and organisations who share our belief that football is more than a game.

Their film affirms football’s ability to break boundaries and destroy stereotypes. Tepito, Mexico is considered by many to be a dangerous neighbourhood, infested with crime and violence. ADR therefore set out to explore how a football team made up of transgender players have become loved and accepted by this unscrupulous neighbourhood.

This film was funded by our newly launched Creator Commissions
initiative. Each month, there is a grant of up to £1000 accessible to any COPA90 fan and filmmaker to tell a story they feel the football community should know about.

  1. Copa 90 deleting comments should leave them to show how bad people still are I think these dudes are fucking weirdos but I’m not mad just like some people love anime I think there weirdos but I’m not angry over I

  2. They've tried to keep their bag of left-wing shit from bursting over the years, their Jeremy Corbyn video was it leaking, but this is it, it's finally spilt, all over the goddamn floor.

  3. Copa90 promoting positive comments (what very few there are) and actively ignoring the criticism. The very concept of 'transgender football' is totally outrageous, if you really are "in a battle for acceptance" then you'd play mens' or womens' football.
